Storage & handling of lyophilized peptides

Store sealed vials at −20 °C or below for long-term storage. Short periods at ambient temperature during transit are generally tolerated by lyophilized material; temperature-sensitive products ship overnight with cold packs. Avoid repeated warming and cooling cycles.

Lyophilized peptides are hygroscopic. Allow a vial to equilibrate to room temperature in a desiccator before opening to prevent condensation, minimize time open to air, and reseal tightly. Store with desiccant.

Protect from light. Sequences containing Cys, Met or Trp are susceptible to oxidation; consider flushing with dry nitrogen or argon before resealing.

Each lot carries a retest date on its COA, determined under the stated storage conditions.
