Lot traceability
Every vial carries a lot number linking it to its full manufacturing and testing history.
Lot numbers
A lot is a quantity of material produced in a single synthesis and purification campaign. The lot number appears on the vial label, the packing slip and the COA.
What is linked
- Raw material and reagent lots used in synthesis
- Batch production and purification records
- Analytical data (HPLC chromatograms, mass spectra)
- QA release and retest date
- Shipment records: which institutional account received which lot
Using lot data
Recording the lot number in laboratory notebooks allows results to be tied to a specific characterized batch. Approved accounts can retrieve any lot's COA via the lookup on the Quality & Documentation page.
Inquiries
Questions about a specific lot can be sent via the Contact page, quoting catalog and lot number.
